Freshawatu - Is my interpretation of where I currently call home - Freshwater Beach, Sydney, Australia. Here I've channelled my inner Keith Haring with visual cues from all the drone content and aerial footage over social ATM.
What you're looking at is a Monsta swell bashing into the coastline cove of Freshwater beach, surrounded by Manly beach to the south and Curl Curl to the north.
Freshwater Beach with its white sand and cove-like protected headlands is arguably one of Sydney's most beautiful beaches all year round. Surf wise, it's always been known as being a bit soft and somewhat of a close-out surf break. However when the sand aligns every ten years or so, the left off the north point resembles the fabled left-handers of Uluwatu on Bali's Bukit Peninsula. Well, that's the joke anyway...
128 X 124CM - Acrylic on *Mylar Diamond Foil
*Mylar is made from aluminium-coated, stretched polyethylene terephthalate (PET). I've choose to use this Mylar medium instead of traditional silk or coated canvas for its high-tensile strength and reflective properties that give each painting a unique dimension, which sets my work apart from other artists.
